After a lot of hard work this week we've today finished shifting sandbags & rocks and the site is finally revealed.
We're now having two days off to recover before returning fully recharged on Monday morning for the dreaded start of site clean, just to get it all shipshape before excavation proper can begin. It's survived reasonably well with not too many creepy crawlies in amongst the backfill, and hopefully after a weekend of gentle air drying all the stone will be ready for a brush up and photo op. We are fully open for visitors and had our first tour group of the year today, so if you're in Rousay please do call past the site, and don't forget to tune in Monday for another exciting instalment.
